The record stays on your computer
Your patients' records are stored locally and encrypted at rest with SQLCipher. Nothing about a patient is uploaded to our servers, so the confidential history you build stays inside the practice. The internet is used only to check your license, never to move patient data.
Scheduled encrypted backups protect the record from a drive failure, and on the Pro plan the same record is shared across the clinic's computers over your local network, so every chair sees the same up-to-date chart.
Your record, and you can take it with you
Because the database is a file on your machine, you are never locked in. You can back it up, move it to a new computer, and keep working. A clinical record you cannot export is a clinical record you do not really control.

Where are the records stored?
On your own computer. The database is local and encrypted at rest, and patient data is never sent to our servers. Only your license is checked online.
Can I attach X-rays and photos to a patient's record?
Yes. You can attach images and files to the record and open an X-ray or photo in a built-in viewer without leaving the patient chart.
What happens to my records if I stop paying?
The database is a file you hold. You can back it up and export it at any time, so your clinical history remains yours even if you cancel.
