Dental charting
Dental software with a real interactive odontogram
Chart every tooth and surface, track periodontal measurements, build treatment plans, and manage lab cases. HM Praxis ships a complete dental edition, with every chart stored locally on your own machine and encrypted at rest.
14-day free trial. No credit card. Runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Built for dental charting
Interactive odontogram
Mark conditions and treatments per tooth and surface on a chart that mirrors the mouth, not a spreadsheet.
Periodontal charting
Record probing depths and periodontal findings, kept with the patient's history over time.
Treatment plans
Turn findings into a sequenced plan you can present, track, and bill from.
Lab cases
Track dental lab work from sent to received so nothing falls through the cracks.
The dental edition
More than a chart, a full dental workflow
The odontogram is the centerpiece, but it connects to the rest of the clinical day in HM Praxis:
- Per-tooth and per-surface conditions and treatments on the interactive odontogram
- Periodontal charting that stays attached to the patient over time
- Treatment plans built from your findings, ready to present and bill
- Dental lab case tracking, prescriptions, and document storage
Charts that stay in your clinic
Every odontogram and periodontal record is part of your local, encrypted database. It is stored on your own computer with SQLCipher and never uploaded to our servers. On the Pro plan, the dentists and assistants in your clinic see the same charts by syncing over the local network, so a finding recorded chairside shows up at the front desk without anything going to the cloud.
It runs in English and Spanish on Windows, macOS, and Linux, with your clinic's branding on printed treatment plans and prescriptions.

Frequently asked questions
Is the odontogram interactive or just a picture?
It is fully interactive. You mark conditions and treatments per tooth and per surface, and the chart becomes part of the patient's record, not a static image.
Does it include periodontal charting?
Yes. You can record probing depths and periodontal findings, and they stay attached to the patient's history alongside the odontogram.
Where are the dental charts stored?
On your own computer, in a local database encrypted at rest with SQLCipher. Charts are never uploaded to our servers. On Pro, your clinic's computers share them over the local network.
Can the whole team see the same chart?
Yes, on the Pro plan. Clinic computers sync over your local network, so a chart updated chairside is current at the front desk, with no cloud in between.
