Organizations

Organizations let multiple users collaborate inside HM Praxis. Each organization has its own database, members, and licensing scope.

Pro tier feature

Inviting and syncing team members requires Pro. Every member who joins needs their own Pro subscription, or a sponsored seat you pay for. There are no free seats.

Inviting a Team Member

1

Open the Organizations Page

From the sidebar, click Organizations. The page shows the organizations you belong to and which one is currently active.

2

Select the Organization You Own

Only the owner (and admins) can invite. Pick the organization from the list. If you do not see an Invite button, you do not have permission.

3

Click "Invite Member"

The invitation form opens. Enter:

  • Email of the person you are inviting
  • Role: Admin, Member, or Read Only
4

Verify Seat Capacity

There are no free seats. A member can join only if they already hold their own Pro subscription, or if you sponsor a Pro seat for them before the invite goes out. Sponsoring adds a recurring fee to your rb-devops.com subscription.

Self-funded seats vs. sponsored Pro seats

Each member needs Pro access to the app. They can bring their own subscription, or the owner can hold a Pro subscription and pay for a sponsored seat on their behalf. The sponsorship dialog explains the cost before you confirm.

5

Send the Invitation

Click Send. HM Praxis creates a pending invitation on rb-devops.com and emails the recipient with an acceptance link. The invitation expires after 7 days if not accepted.

6

The Recipient Accepts

The invited person clicks the link, registers (if they do not have an account) or logs in, and joins the organization. They appear in your members list with their assigned role.

Member Roles

Admin

Full access. Can invite, remove, and change roles for other members. Can manage organization settings.

Member

Standard access. Can create, edit, and delete patients, appointments, and records. Cannot invite or manage other members.

Read Only

View-only. Can browse patients, appointments, and reports but cannot modify anything. Useful for accountants or auditors.

Managing Pending Invitations

The Organizations page lists every pending invitation with status pills:

  • Pending - invite sent, not yet accepted
  • Accepted - the recipient is now a member
  • Declined - the recipient rejected the invite
  • Expired - 7-day window passed without action
  • Revoked - you cancelled the invite before acceptance

You can Revoke a pending invite or Resend an expired one.

Seat Capacity

Each organization has three seat numbers:

  • Current members - active accounts in the org
  • Self-funded members - members who hold their own Pro
  • Sponsored seats - members whose Pro access you pay for

There are no free seats. To add a member who does not already hold Pro, sponsor a Pro seat for them. The sponsorship dialog tells you the monthly cost before you confirm.

Switching Between Organizations

If you belong to several organizations (for example, your own practice and a partner clinic), use the organization switcher in the top bar to change context. Each organization has a separate database, so switching shows completely different patients, appointments, and inventory.

Be sure of context before adding records

Records are saved to whichever organization is currently active. The current org name shows in the top bar at all times.
