macOS Installation Guide
Follow these steps to install the application on your Mac. The entire process takes less than 5 minutes.
Minimum Requirements:
- macOS 11 Big Sur or later
- Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3) or Intel processor
- 4 GB RAM (8 GB recommended)
- 500 MB available disk space
- Internet connection (for activation and updates)
Download the Application
Log in to your RbDevOps account. After logging in, navigate to your licenses page and click the download button for your application to get the macOS application (.dmg file).
The installer file will be named something like:
HM Praxis_1.0.16_aarch64.dmgaarch64 = Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3), x64 = Intel
Open the DMG File
Double-click the downloaded .dmg file. A new Finder window will open showing the HM Praxis icon.
If macOS shows a warning that the app is from an unidentified developer:
- Click "Cancel" on the warning
- Right-click the app icon and select "Open"
- Click "Open" again in the confirmation dialog
Drag to Applications
Drag the HM Praxis icon to the Applications folder shortcut in the same window. This installs the app to your Applications folder.
Wait for the copy operation to complete (usually a few seconds).
Eject the Disk Image
After copying is complete, eject the HM Praxis disk image by:
- Clicking the eject button next to "HM Praxis" in Finder sidebar
- Or right-clicking the desktop icon and selecting "Eject"
You can now delete the downloaded .dmg file if you wish.
Launch the Application
Open the application from:
- Applications folder in Finder
- Launchpad → HM Praxis
- Spotlight Search (⌘ + Space) → type "HM Praxis"
On first launch, macOS may ask for permissions to access files and network. Grant these permissions for the app to function correctly.
Enter Your License Key
The app will prompt you to enter your license key. Copy it from the dashboard and paste it into the activation window.
The app will automatically activate and you're ready to go!

Troubleshooting
"HM Praxis is damaged and can't be opened"
This is a Gatekeeper false positive. Right-click the app → select "Open" → click "Open" in the dialog. You only need to do this once.
App crashes on launch (Apple Silicon Macs)
Make sure you downloaded the correct version (aarch64 for M1/M2/M3). If you have the Intel version (x64), download the Apple Silicon version instead.
Permissions errors
Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Files and Folders. Ensure the application has access to Documents and Desktop folders.
Can't find the app after installation
Open Finder, press ⌘ + Shift + A to go to Applications folder. HM Praxis should be there. If not, repeat the installation process.
